I write freelance pieces outside of Wide Left and plan to link them here when they go live. Be sure to check out the latest, on undrafted free agent rookies who shined in Week 2. Shortly after publish, I had angry fans in my mentions for players I missed.

Preview and link below.

Emanuel Wilson, Running Back, Green Bay Packers

Last week, Emanuel Wilson made the list as an honorable mention after he ripped off a big run for 80 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals. His non-explosive runs totaled 31 yards on five carries, which wasn’t bad either. This week he makes the list outright after increasing his workload and showing consistency as a runner.

Against the Patriots, he averaged 2.87 yards per carry after contact, an impressive number for any kind of back but especially for big-play guys like Wilson, and he showed off vision and elusiveness along the way. Adding in two catches for 15 yards along with a little bit of prowess as a blocker means that he might be the kind of player that teams can lean on throughout the game.
